When you first walk into the door, you're greeted by Wen Lin, the art teacher herself. Her joyful demeanor makes you excited for class to start. She offers step by step drawing classes which will prepare you for the next levels. I've been learning from her for six years, since the sixth grade. I am currently a senior in high school and quite frankly, do not want this school year to end. I enjoy the classes and the quiet environment.

This school is my daughter's favorite summer school. She has been come to here every summer break since 1st grade. All the teachers are so nice and friendly with children, especially teacher Wei. They opens from 8am to 6pm every day, it fits perfectly with my working schedule, teacher Wei also really flexible too. My daughter learn drawing with teacher Wei in the morning, then mandarin and Chinese traditional dance in the afternoon. And she loves the performance at ever Friday. Last two years the school added more classes for their summer school, you can even learn Kunfu in the afternoon. My daughter not only just have fun here, but also improved her drawing skills and mandarin. I'm highly recommend this school if your child loves drawing, and you also want he/she learn some traditional Chinese culture.

This art studio is one of the only places where I can really focus on my art, and with the guidance of Lin and the tea and cookies she offers, the experience is just great. Some of the younger students get quite rowdy at times, but she also does a good job at keeping the rowdiness to a minimum. My Saturday nights here will be one of the things I miss when I go off to college!

I've been taking art classes with Wei Lin for about five years now. She really cares about her students and knows exactly how to help her students. Wei Lin knows how much to push her students and has helped me transform my little hobby for drawing into the passion for art that I have now. Highly recommend!

I am glad to see that Asian Arts School moved to Taraval Street! I took Ms. Wei's Chinese Painting Adult Class 4 years ago at SFSU. I came into her class without any painting background. I was painting few landscapes by the end of the session. I gave sone of them to my mother, who loves it!
